People from all walks of life enter therapy, e.g. i.e. lawyers, doctors, artists, disabled persons, veterans, homeless persons, unemployed workers, and college students. Often people enter therapy because of a stressful experience(s) which are either short term or ongoing, that they would like to explore in a safe environment. These distressing circumstances may range from long standing difficulties to coping with a recent life transition. However, it is not a prerequisite to have a specific issue to choose therapy. I treat many people who are attracted to therapy because they wish to develop self awareness and personal growth.
