Depression can be a very debilitating force that affects sleep, sense of hope, energy/motivation, appetite, social functioning, and an inability to find pleasure in activities that you once enjoyed. Depression can occur in response to emotional life events, seasonal changes, anniversary dates, or without any obvious reason.
